I feel women want : understanding , communication = to be heard also , friendship as in a best friend , trust , loyalty , lots of love and to be loved and to be #1 on your list ...Hey I want this too !...But where do I find a woman like this ? lol

Hi, I didn't introduce myself either - didn't know about the newcomers club - I'm all grown up, retired, mother of 2 grown-up boys & grandma of 1 boy, 16.

I was reading this thread & it got my interest - anyways, I realize that some of your acronyms escape me - I'm 64, so please have a heart for us "oldies" but goodies - please translate "JMO" for me. Thanks. How about coming up with a dictionary? hahaha

As for what women want.... we can give you "lists", but bottom line I think is you have to find out for yourself by getting to know women & be open to their individual needs & wants & deciding if you can work with that or not. First of all, try to be a friend, a real friend.

hehehehe, Hot a nerve did I curvy???? Let me give you something to reflect upon, read a bunch of the female profiles and see just how often the phrase "Mr. Right" turns up......... wanna bet you aren't going to like the frequency any????? Let's face it. We all know what most people want and it's pretty universal on both sides of the fence. The problem comes in when it's time to reciprocate. Isn't that why many of us are no longer with our previous partners? I have a grip and all the wiser for it. I have pretty good sense of humour and love to play the devil's advocate in forums such as these. The real irony is that often what people say they want doesn't really cover what it is they truly are looking for.

Personally I liked the one that said new shoes, bedroom suite etc etc etc. Though funnier than all get up it was an irony that was more closer to the truth! Sure we all want honesty, romance, loved for who we are etc etc etc but do we want to give back what we are hoping to receive? Are we bringing to the table the same things we are looking to find in others? How much honesty does one really want? It;s easy to laugh about and I am just as bad because I find it funny too however in the back of my mind comes back the same questions and pondering about what it is i really want and what it is that I actually bring to the table and if I am willing to give or be all the things that another wants? Most of that brutally honest soul searching I am comfortable with but in all honesty there were a couple truths I didn't like in myself as well...... funny? yes indeed, in am uncomfortable way. So the question remains, how much honesty do we really want? In others? In ourselves?

Now to what I want.... hmmm new boat, new bike, someone that cooks better than I do(scratch that, I cook pretty good), someone who makes more money than I do and is just as willing to part with it as I am, has a time share on a tropical island, Iona Island will do,(air freshners if the timeshare is on Iona Island), a big fat insurance policy with no living beneficiaries, nah scratch it all. I'd settle for someone more like myself......

Old Love

A husband in his back yard is trying to fly a kite..

He throws the kite up in the air.

The wind catches it for a few seconds, then it comes crashing back =
down to earth.

He tries this a few more times with no success.

All the while, his wife is watching from the kitchen window,

Muttering to herself how men need to be told how to do everything.

She opens the window and yells to her husband,

'You need a piece of tail.'

The man turns with a confused look on his face and says,

'Make up your mind. Last night, you told me to go fly a kite.'
