I was wondering who the good cooks are here in the forums.

I bet some of you have specialties that would knock our socks off

Who likes to cook....who doesn't give a hoot about it.

Do you like to fuss when making a meal for someone special.

Will you share with us what you like to cook or if you are a baker, I'd like to hear about that since I like to bake.

I used to be a good cook. I hopefully will get that back.

The reason why I am not now is that my fine motor skills suck. I can't even stir a bowl.

I bake and cook. I am a whiz with the grill and love to work various combinations.

My favorite to cook other than steak or ribs is probably my Italian grilled flame kissed chicken with baked sweet potato, asparagus, and other fixins.

I cook few things to survive. My favorite is peasant pasta. Not pheasant, peasant.laugh

Heat olive oil and a slab of butter in pan.
Add chopped onion and garlic. Heat till onion turns clear.
Add broken pieces of bread, pouring a little olive on bread and turn into onions.
Add baby sweet peas, stir and let smimmer.
Boil pasta, then mix all together. Add parm cheese.
Add plenty of olive oil while cooking as this becomes the sauce.

Very quick and easy to make. Taste great too! Enjoy.

I cooked many many years for hay crews, branding crews
and of course my husband and kids. Also did the baking
and breakfast and lunch at a hunting lodge here in
Nebraska. Do not like to cook for just one and even
though it takes a little more time now as I have to take
an occasional breal, I still like to cook for 2 or more wink

If I try real hard I can manage not to burn water. So most of the cooking I do is on a grill. No woman is ever going to marry me for my cooking

My dad did all the cooking when I was growing up and would not allow me in the kitchen. When I got married my mother-in-law taught me how to cook all the Ukrainian foods he loved. Like cabbage rolls from sour cabbage, pigs feet, perogies from scratch etc.

A couple of you say you hate to cook a special meal just for one. I LOVE to pamper myself with a great meal that I've prepared! At least I know I like the cooks cooking! And it relaxes me. Never bothers me to eat alone. Besides, then I have a great leftover meal for lunch the next day. And make my co-workers' mouths water! thumbs up devil
