For me I think it boils down to arrogance...
The arrogant do not think they need to learn because they already know
The arrogant do not have compassion because they think others are worthless
The arrogant do not encourage others because they are not worth the arrogants persons time
the list just goes on and on for me... So blatant arrogance I think is the worst one I see as it leads to or supports so many negative things.

Can't say that I agree. Most people, including myself, are ignorant of one or the other thing. Nobody knows everything. Yes, there are those who are ignorant and don't want to learn, but the problem isn't the ignorance, rather than the fact that they're full of themselves thinking they know it all. That has to do with a lack of humility and an overinflated self-esteem/ego, imo.
