Where will we be in 2010? ( Archived) (30)

Since Obama and congress have to work together on any policy that comes out of Washington, success or failure will be to the benefit or detriment of both. That said, what policies will come out of Washington between now and the end of 2010 and how will those policies make life better for Americans and others around the world.

In Austria?

We will continue in the vein we have been.

I know where I will be in 2010.

My next five years are well and truly cemented for me. I know how much income I have, how and where my children are.

drinking I respectfully disagree. We have declined enough, if it were any further, we'd be living in trees. People already have dirt floors in Detroit-they are that poor. I think that as this year goes on, toward the end of it, we will see some healing.

President Obama is solid and steady as he goes. He had his agenda long before he ever took office. He was the FIRST politician to realize that Michigan was in a recession long before the rest of the US started. Maybe he was the first one to admit it, I don't know. I cannot believe our governor didn't know it as she was contemplating shutting the state down a while back.doh

Some people don't realize what poor really is. Poor is not being able to buy your favorite perfume, as some have griped about. Poor is having 2 cans of soup in your cupboard nothing else, no condiments, empty fridge and living in dirt floors. I'd like to see how some would handle that. sad flower

hug I've been close to it this year.

I don't know where we'll be economically in 2010. I do know that some things are starting to pick up around my area, and I live in an area that is usually economically depressed, ever since the early 80s when we lost the steel industry. The county I live in right outside of Pittsburgh had most of the steel mills and mill workers, and was hit very hard then, and has never fully recovered, so any new hit to the economy hits us very hard too.

I predict that we'll still be in recession in 2010 and many people will be hurting far more than they are now; however (on the bright side) the markets (stocks and shares) will be going UP because they REFLECT what people think about the FUTURE and by the tail end of 2010 people will be PREDICTING an end to the recession/depression sometime in 2011 and saying:

'Bad times must have hit rock bottom - now the only way is UP!'

thumbs up

The sun'll come out
Tomorrow
Bet your bottom dollar
That tomorrow
There'll be sun!
Just thinkin' about
Tomorrow
Clears away the cobwebs,
And the sorrow
'Til there's none!
When I'm stuck a day
That's gray,
And lonely,
I just stick out my chin
And Grin,
And Say,
Oh
The sun'll come out
Tomorrow
So ya gotta hang on
'Til tomorrow
Come what may
Tomorrow!
Tomorrow!
I love ya
Tomorrow!
You're always
A day
A way!
