if someone contacts me and they do not have a profile pic, i usually try to encourage them to post one, then i never hear from them again lol im not shallow, i really am a visual person ! i promise !

I've seen some pictures that people use that I have seen on adult... I mean on other sites, or on picture sharing sites. Yeah, you will know by how they talk and communicate on here. I think most people here on this forum are cool and trustworthy.

i too have trouble trusting the no pic profile i can see your soul thru your eyes even in pictures but if there is no pic it is hard to trust . it's not really hard to put a pic up look at me the nearest town is 20 miles away with a population of 2500 and i still managed . and yes the sunshine is piped in .

And don't forget...you can always ask them to send you a picture once you start the emailing stage. Most will send them and those who don't may be hiding something. Common sense will sort them out.

...you will notice that all the scammers have their pics on their profiles (or someone's pic), so if you pick one without a picture, maybe it won't be a scammer.

I am a visual person so pic please, but when it comes to trust that's another issue pic or no pic trust comes when i get to know someone.

although beauty is in the eyes of the beholder, and may be only skin deep.
A beautiful lady like this will certainly be contacted before any one that is ashamed to put their Pic on the site.
I think many times they don't is because they have something to hide, whether it is not wanting someone else to see they are there or misrepresenting themselves to make themselves to pass as something they are not.
I have seen all these things, and appreciate those that are genuine in their approach to this "dating game".

i think if your looking for friends, pictures dont matter. as long as their not a scammer! you can become friends and enjoy reading and writing messages between the two of you.
if however your looking for something more, i really think a picture is incredibly important. imagine really falling for someone and then seeing their picture to discover that they are just not your type?
besides, its nice to put a face to a name and i think you cant sort of connect a little better. just my view for the thread!

You don't automatically trust profiles with or without photo. You have to talk to ppl to get the idea of whom you are dealing with.
Profiles without pictures are no different from those with pictures. There are many reasons ppl won't post their photos, but there is no reason I can think of for not sharing photos with you when you are already communicating.
If they don't do that, it's a problem. Move on.

When I got a message from the man that I am interested in he didn't have a pic and still does not on here. But after sometime of talking and getting to know each other he send me a picture on my cell phone. I can assure you I was not disappointed. So you never know what they look like. Sometimes taking a chance can be a good thing.

not a matter of trust but some level of skepticism as to why they have no pics. In my own personal experience, it was mostly because the member had insecurity issues.
