Oranges off a tree in the winter time. Sounds heavanly. You never know, if one more door handle on my car freezes and breaks..I might just head for the south.
Reasons not to move to michigan? ... I got a good one: I spent a year there! No offense, but I'm NOT going back EVER ... geezuz, I never knew tires could freeze into little klutzes and you kinda have to clunk clunk clunk down the road if you're lucky enough and the car starts...

I quite agree with you....somedays you go to car and pray that it will start up again.
Not sure about Michigan yet it cant be any worse than Maine in the winter time, 40 below zero, snow up to the 2nd story windows, tunneling out to get to your car, but cant see well enough to drive anywhere....the ice storms, loss of electric power, frozen water pipes, all that lovely stuff..... Forget Florida and come to the Southwest, either west Texas, Arizona or New Mexico.....better climate, lots of lakes...plenty of sun, hot days, no humidity.....you'd love it....!
I went there once briefly. I was driving a man to see his family. Long story. The place had a lot of beattiful old fashioned buildings and was kind of beautiful like the town in the movie 'Groundhog Day.' But, yeah, snow is a drag.
