I am not a spring chicken myself but that time has come when the cards have turned and it is my responsibility to take care of mom. she justed turned eighty, in poor health but has a wonderful sense of humor, sometimes aunry. Anyway i want to share the warm special feeling with those of you who still are blessed to have their parents what is feels like when the cards are turned. There is a sense of proudness that i have the privilege of returning some of the love and care given to me by my mom. Mom is always there, she nevers quits treating me like i am fourteen and she makes me a nervous wreck, but ya know what, this is the best torture i could ever be awarded. she spent the night with me after drs. appointment,it was like a pj party, laughs, pizza, etc. and well...i just want everybody on here to be good to their moms, be patient and loving and let her know how very much you love her. Your turn will come soon and i pray you will have the patience to love them. you dont have to like them but you gotta love them.
It's an awesome responsibility... - gives meaning to the words - "be good to your children, they will be the ones taking care of you when you get old".

Thanks for posting it, LG!
Many need to be reminded.
Cherish every precious moment with your mama.
My parents are no longer around. Hurts. The thought of it. And the memories.

Neither of my parents are around anymore but I still have the memories of both of them.
