Do you believe in luck?

I believe that I have been very 'lucky' but is it pure luck or just circumstance or education or something else?

This month, April, I have made a huge amount of money........ maybe not a huge amount of money to Bill Gates but a huge amount of money to me!

Is the saying 'Lucky in love unlucky in other things' true or false?

Can we aspire to have everything - i.e. good health, enough money so as not to worry about paying bills AND also be lucky in love?

I don't know......but I know that 'I want it all and I want it now!'

grin cool dancing

I'm an ex-pat, hence the name ladyluck45, thought I was lucky coming here to france, but yet again, everythings gone pear shaped. I must be due for some GOOD LUCK or so I keep telling myself.

I like it here, find the french much friendlier than a lot of the ex-pats, can't seem to grasp the language though, too old or too much on my mind to take it in.laugh

French is easy....it's a piece of piss to learn. If I can do it(learn it) anybody can...

As for the french I agree with you, but not parisians they are a race/nationality unto themselves...

Trust me most Parisians are idoits...I've lived around them for the best part of 15 yrs....They generally think that france ends once you cross the Périphérique( ring road around Paris]

Why do you stay there? if you like france in general, you could move away from them, to an area where they are more freindly

my monsters live close to Paris and it's easier for me to see them...If I didn't have my monsters I wouldn't be here but more than likely back in the Emerald isle...

thats a good reason to stay, but moving around france is so easy these days, i'm sure you could visit from the emerald isle, 2 of my children are still in england but we still manage to get together quite a lot.

Sorry to the others on this thread, phoenix, maybe would could chat away from this thread, don't want to upset anyone!

Hi

I originally moved to France thinking "a year, maybe 2..." and that was nearly 20 years ago. Life in France has been very good to me.

I'm still not decided about "The French" though. I have some good French friends, but I don't have the same relaxed informal relationships that I have with other Brits or even Yanks.

I don't think it's a language thing because I can yap the lingo with the best of them... I think it's more related to the way French families operate (ie stay very close) and the way society is organised (ie people are generally not very trusting of people outside the family)...

Or have I completely misunderstood Froglandia?
