An interesting question, Pete.

Having no money! First.

I am often intrigued by this. My salary is usually spent dring the month. Bills, we all have them. So, in essensce, by the end of the month, I am ready for my next salary.

I have some savings, so I am not destitute.

I have a home and a car, can afford a decent standard of living.

For me, I prefer a person who is financially responsible. If a person has debts, then I would like to see that they are dealing with it.

No home? DO you mean owning their home or homeless?

I have to be a bit crass here, I would not be interested in a person who had no home.

Money cannot buy me love, but I'm at the stage in my life, where I like life to be a little easier. Having worked hard to have what I have then I would want a person to be in a simliar position as me, a home, able to travel a little.

But as a homebird, I am happy at home, either his or mine.

No, money isn’t love. And no, money can’t buy you love. But money can give you a partner.

What kind of partner… that’s another question.

i dont see a problem , if it's the right ' one '?
and everything is perfect between the couple.
but if they are bringing into a relationship other issues, like misery / bad memories.....debts....laziness.....wanting to soak up my own money and contribute nothing....then a big fat NO .

2 people with nothing can be happy, as can 2 who are both loaded.
the problems start where the one who has money; either feels they are being used or where is isnt real 'love' !

look at the rise in ' mail order brides '......most of them don't have much; but it doesn't seem to stop lots of western or european males from taking a chance ?

iamamm: i forgot to add to my orginal comment....
that if you think back far enough, to your mum and dad, or grans and grandads.....they often started with nothing ! ( relative, of course )

but they met, fell in love, and used whatever jobs they had to accumulate their first house, maybe car etc....and often growing closer together in the process.

times are much tougher now..more to lose maybe ?
so more reason to tread more carefully ??

but i've always had a thing about asian women ( particularly japanese )......if my perfect geisha came along, i probably wouldn't think twice !

yes know what u mean heart wings

it's easier for a rich man to find love than a poor one, but it's easier for a poor man to keep it.

do you think generally men with money are in relationships with users? I guess it's easier for them to show a girl a good time, but the good time would maybe wear thin after a while..who knows..dunno

I love money,does that count ?

Seriously.Traditionally men held all the econmoic power and women realised that to gain access to that money they needed to be with the person who had it.

Women,as bearers of children are pre programmed to look for security,a man who can provide for future offspring. Not many women are attracted to poverty.grin This is why men are so competitive towards each other, cause the guy with the dough gets the bird and the guy with none gets none.blues Poverty comes in the front door and love flies out the window. So yes,in a sense, money is love and love is money.hug

I guess it depends what you mean by love, Elley! laugh IMHO if love disappears with the money, it wasn't what I'd call love in the first place. comfort Over the years I've been involved in one way or another with all sorts of men - rich, poor, somewhere in the middle, on the way up, on the way down... and I can honestly say, their finances didn't affect the way I felt about any of them. (I once had the heir to a multi-million fortune camped out on my doorstep - but even that couldn't buy my love. He was sweet, but just not the right man for me. In retrospect, perhaps that was the biggest mistake of my life! doh )

Seriously, hang on in there, Elley - and walk tall. There'll be a woman out there somewhere who appreciates you for what you are, not for what you have (or haven't) in the bank! heart wings

I agree with all of you who thinks that money is not everything. Real estates are also something.
