Oh and also ,

looks like there are health and safety issues around this too

hopefuly those poor residents won't have to put up with it

That's not the radio's fault, but the fault of those who walk around playing them...a fad that has thankfully disappeared with the invention of iPods. I hope that this one disappears quicker.

Yes, that too...so loud a siren can't be heard over it is not good, and I think that will help get them outlawed, though accidents will have to happen first for that...let's hope that citizen outrage does its job quickly. wine

That's rediculuous and selfish behavior. But I supose you can't legislate for every idiotic eventuality. I'm sure they will rush something prohibitive through. Hope the trend doesn't come our way.

druidess6308: LL, I agree...this would drive me bonkers. And think about dogs' ears, if we think that this would hurt ours!

I hope that there are noise regulations where I live. This would be bad enough in the city, but I live in a fairly rural area near schools, and a lot of elderly live here too...I have to sincerely hope that this is a trend that doesn't make it to my area.

I hope for your sake that it doesn't catch on , you are over

there and I am here in , it will take a while for it to catch on

here and then really only in city areas ( I hope).

Noise abatement is a huge issue Dru , it causes a lot of friction

between neighbours as I read . It can be very damaging

healthwise to an individual as well. That poor lady in the film

work was being disturbed so that is an absolute outrage IMO.

I am all for people having their fun but not at the expense of

others .

As I said I left a noisy, polluted crowded city for a better

quality of life and I would be crestfallen if that type of

problem happened here.

I hope it doesn't take a tragedy for the local government to

act out against this selfish behaviuor . Shame on them if it has

to come to that.

But yes, the health and safety issue will be a huge factor in

banning the "whistles"roll eyes

True, RDM...sadly, you can't. I hope that something goes through to prohibit this, honestly. My goodness, that's worse than trains and planes! I agree, it's very selfish behavior, and the couple featured in the news sure didn't care about anyone else from their attitude display...and their driving.doh

I have a suggestion for anyone with a neibour with this car modification.

It's a landmine.....put it in front or the offside front and one at the back as well. When the moron gets in the car, moved away, big bang and the car fly's up and into the next door neighbours driveway.

If there's a few of these in your neighbourhood, can i suggest an anti tank rocket, limpet mines and an anti personnel mine attached to a tripwire right out side their front door.

Between them, arms sales go up, wipe out a proportion of brain dead morons and save the taxpayer for having to retrain these morons to drive the special buslaugh

I think that covers itgrin

Iv'e been there a lot!

Gimme C4, detonators, claymore mines and an assault rifle and i will sort out crime there and antisocial behaviour in a week.

Oh i'd need IR goggles, .40 cal pistol, a Commanche Helicopter and about on third of the Marines, or say the 101th Airborne for a week.

Mind you, you'll need a lot of body bags ready...i'd be on a cull so fast it would look like a remake of "day of the dead".rolling on the floor laughing

Sorry...you said boom boxes, not subwoofers. Got it now...yes, I hate those things, and thankfully they're not real popular around here. I've had them go by and shake the house in other neighborhoods, though. frustrated
