Truth be told the reason that I'm on any of these sites is beacause I really don't have the time to go out anymore and meet someone, and it just seems that no one is really serious about dating on any of the various sites. Is it just me or am I doomed to be alone forever?
There are many people who come to these sites, some are looking for a mate but haven't seen any that they are interested in. It does take time, and there are a few that I have seen on these forums that have found a mate to at least date. (me included) I find that participating in the forums does attract attention, and many will contact you. Many of whom you will reject, but there will be a few that will attract you too.

Just like, looking for for that special person on line, you have the same games going on when not using the internet.
Some of us have found someone one, but still come here to keep in contact with friends we made. Forums can be very informative, and a place to post and read jokes.
Unfortunately the internet has made it too easy for people to play games, or be the person they'd rather be. There are some very honest people looking for that special someone and for the right reasons.
You have to kiss a lot of frogs before you find the right one. Best of luck in your search.

I tend to believe that most people who are on dating sites are looking to meet someone; what their intentions for the long haul are? Not my problem or concern...I control only me. Seems easier that way, worry about yourself and what you are looking for - if you really are sincere...people will come along. Not saying they are all keepers, like K says, gotta kiss alot of frogs! (and ya do)! My significant other and I found each other on this site. I stay on because I enjoy the forums, when I have time! There are people on here that I care about...they matter and I value what they have to say, the jokes are good for a giggle and it is a good place to just "be" sometimes!
