"Still Available" Male Shout Out (73)

I sent e-mail to 12 ladies over the past week (only those who had been online within 1 month) and only 3 responded although nearly all of them viewed my profile! And two who responded basically said, thank and good luck. LOL
I am beginning to think this is the site more for friends to chat rather than to actually scout for potential mates, so I would use this rule in answer to your question:
If you received an e-mail from someone interested, they are probably looking. If you have not received an e-mail from them but they chat all day in the forums, they are probably looking for acquaintances and not future partners.
Just my humble observation...

IMO, there are a few other reasons why you got only 3 replies. First, the fact that you are looking for someone that lives within 100 miles of your home town. Second, that list of ten things to consider before entering in a relationship with you.
Honestly you come out as being 'hard to please'.
Maybe you should reconsider how you formulate your profile description. Just my humble observation.

Another factor can be availability.
Many women are unsure about dating a separated person.
Combine that with the factor of wanting children or no more children and things get murkier.
Lots of variables....some should be shown clearly...others discussed after meeting and dating?

Thanks for the feedback as well. I figured that must play a role, but that's the cost of honesty, right? I mean, I could have said "single" or "divorced" like some others may, but I chose the correct path: honesty.
