My Dad was born in Scotland.
My family on my mum's side are Scottish 
also have Manx and Irish in there somewhere as well

I heard a song by Big Country once...... i liked it.....
I don't always speak in a Scottish accent,
sometimes coz I sometimes lived abroad
sometimes for other reasons
in an old Scottish family (Hey, we're in MacBeth)
have a Scottish name
genetically Scottish
born a UK Citizen (they don't have Scottish passports, yet!)
I think my crowd invented haggis,
hand reared Nessies
adopted RedCaps
fed wild kelpies
deep fried the first Mars Bar
We have several tartans to our family name
(I won't wear any other tartan but one of my families ones,
as in, I won't wear a tartan for any name but my own).
But, as I often don't speak in a very Scottish accent,
about half the people, at least in Edinburgh, that I
bump into treat me like I'm a foreigner.

I'm Irish. Belfast born and bred...But I'm a celt like you..
I'm from Belfast, used to holiday near Ballycastle and on a good day you could see Scotland quite well from up there
