In the past, I had some. My life changed 19 years ago and stuff like that doesn't happen for me any more.
Quite honestly, what I thought was going to be a one night stand turned into the woman that was my first true love. I saw past what she and I had both done and we eventually married...
Unfortunately, while I made a change for the better, she stayed a partier...

I would rather not put myself to that position. Yes i've heard stories of people who started with one night stand and ended up getting married.

Do we always know that it's going to be a one-night stand? Conversely, how can we be sure that the first time we sleep with someone will automatically lead to a second, third, or more?
I've had one night stands. I don't set out for a basic hit-and-run, but sometimes it happens. I'm not going to lose sleep over it. (Well, not the next night, anyway!). If I bring a man to my bed, I want him there. It's not a lifestyle by any means and it's not random or casual, but there's never a guarantee of a repeat performance. I have to accept that possibility from the beginning and I have to be ok that the end result may be that we only have one night together. Since I wanted to be with him, I will remember it as a lovely night of pleasure. No sense in berating myself over what other people might think.
It hasn't happened often in my life, but it has happened. And so what?

I don't do one-night stands at all. Never have and I doubt I ever will. It just wouldn't feel right to me. ..in fact, the idea of it feels pretty creepy and cheap, to be honest. I'm not sure I'd be able to respect myself the next morning. Also, I was raised to be pretty traditional, so I would have to have known the person for quite awhile and really care about them.. maybe even be committed to them before I slept with someone.

I really don't see anything wrong with one night stands among consenting adults as long as both understand that it is what it is and no one gets hurt.

At the age i am now i would not consider a one night stand so i dont think ill ever find a serious relationship that way..
