We're in our summer semester. That tends to be quite quiet & boring. And when someone brings me work, I do it on the spot.

I lied.
I miss work - terribly!
I miss the human interaction............ and although I'm retired I get up before 5 a.m. every morning and 'work' for a couple of hours on the internet buying and selling investments.
But we all need not to be bored - we need both a certain degree of STRESS (healthy stress) to make us feel alive and useful and also time to chill out after a good, honest day's work.
I am sorry to hear you are bored.
Have you considered taking up knitting?
You can hide your knitting under your desk if anybody comes into the office - no problem!
