I had that choice two years ago - Tahoe Angora fire .....
(1) My Cat !
(2) Credit Card / Passport /Cash
(3) Pictures , Clothing to wear for few weeks, computers, scuba gear, sleeping bags, blankets, cameras, guns, etc........

Note: It's sometimes a long wait after a fire for anything to happen.... may as well go on vacation ( passport and scuba gear)
I was lucky - fire stopped off end of the street .....uh oh

I`d save my tax reciepts for the last 5 yrs in a box I have stored. Things I`ve collected since I was a kid in a toolbox with my SS card, & old I D`s and some real old money I have collected. My third thing would be my insurance papers to prove I was covered fully. I`d sit back and watch the place burn, fully knowing I`m well insured and not getting screwed. I`d then go looking for new everything... :)
