Tell US the news, Persiano. Or are you unable to really know what's going on? I think we're all a bit news-deprived. We think we know, we are indeed interested and curious, but we're not sure if what we are hearing is an accurate portrayal of events in Iran.
Or, at least, I am not sure.
All I can say to you is that I truly wish the best outcome for you and your countrymen. Regime change is more than just a vote; it's putting your necks out there and really standing behind your ideals. Most of us have never been in such a situation...not such as yours. I'm not a religious person, and I don't care what God you believe in, but I feel compelled to say "God's speed"...and may the doors of darkness open and let the light in again.

Thanks for your post. Iranian want regime change and they put their very lives in the streets of Tehran and the Mullah's people are killing them. Mullahs all are going to wipe out of the face of the earth soon. That's all I can say for now.

WASHINGTON (AP) — The White House says President Barack Obama has been "moved" by the television images of people in Iran taking to the street in protest.

Riot police in Tehran continue to lead a crackdown on demonstrators following a disputed presidential election.

Said White House press secretary Robert Gibbs of Obama: "I think he has been moved what we've seen on television. I think particularly so by images of women in Iran who have stood up for their right to demonstrate, to speak out and to be heard."

Gibbs said Monday that Obama continues to have "concerns and questions" about the way Iran's presidential election was conducted this month.

Obama has faced criticism from Republican lawmakers who say he has not spoken forcefully against Iran's leaders.

I was on an assignment in 2004 where I was part of a team that were speaking with MEK in Iraq. Oh, the stories I heard...of executions, beatings, hangings, rapes, etc. I have some insight, but I'm still ignorant of what is really going on. hug

Your country and my country have a lot of histories together. I’m sure that you know about the civilization of Persians and we never had Mullahs in our history except royal family but since 30 years ago when they have deceived the people they took the power in the country and people had enough for 30 years and everyone wants regime change. We want to be known to the world as who we really are with our true civilization and cultures that we earned since thousands and thousands of years ago. I liked what the French prime minister had said few months ago about Mullahs and he said that these Mullahs are the people to represent Persians and I agree with him. I hope that you are enjoying the summerhug

Who are Mullahs to represent Persians. Sorry one error can change everything. Mullahs are not the people to Represent Persians and Mullahs should say good bye and go and take their religion with them in their way out.

Yes, you have an incredible history. Just the word "Persia" invokes an image of an exotic and beautiful land. History, however, is replete with darkness and tragedy, but I do believe in the good that is inherent in people of all lands. And I know that people everywhere want to be free to live their lives, love their families, spend their days without interference from suppressors. You are no different than I am in this regard. I can't imagine what you must be feeling now, but I think it's a mixture of hope and fear. Hope that things will change and that your future...your children's future...will be brighter; fear that it may not be. My faceless and nameless friend.... keep the hope alive (to roughly quote one of our own peaceful activists in our short but active history)....Keep Hope Alive.
