I live in Metairie, right next door. The Audobon is up and running, and so is the D-Day museum, the Aquarium is down until next year. There is still alot of work to be done. I am still working on my house and living in a trailer in my driveway. Yes, the area could use the revenue from some tourism. And we do have great food. So if you come down be sure to have your loose comfort clothing. I would put up an address for people to check out New Orleans, but it is against the rules.
I would'nt have a clue where I was going to....I don't anything about New Orleans...Don't know where anythng is at...I would be so lost on my own....a perfect recipe for diaster!!!!!!...Besides....Mardi Gras is over now....
ok im here so you would know me. and honestly. you want to come atleast once befor the holiday so you can see everything without the croud. unless you like walking around shirtless, lol
It is not that bad as long as you stay out of the French Quarters. During Mardi Gras the French Quarters are a lot of college kids and some wild tourism baring their breast and other things. It is against the law and a few do get arrested, but you can arrest them all. Also you have a Drag Queen contest, the men make beautiful women and the costumes are gorgeous, but some are a bit skimpy.
Do you mean that in a good way or bad way?????? It looks pretty wild....just don't know how wild......You guys may be right......I might aught to go when there is less commotion.......
