I was 21 and a year that changed alot in the world.

Twenty years ago! Impossible to believe.

The birth of the World Wide Web.

The massacre in Tiananmen Square.

The Fall of the Berlin Wall.

Dalai Llama wins Nobel Peace Prize.

Who can forget Reagan's role?

Mandela meets F.W. Klerk.

Veitnam exited Cambodia.

The first Gay marraige took place in Denmark.

The Hillsborough tragedy.

Russia's revolution.

All of these events have had a significant impact in the world we live in today, certainly I feel that way.

Although many of them were unparelled events, they have shaped the way we live today.

Any thoughts? What of those events have had a significant on your life, certainly the www has had one on all of us.

I remember most of this...I turned 26 that year. I rejoiced as The Wall came down, cried over the tragedy in China, and it was another ten years before I got on the www, so it didn't really have an affect on me then...but I rejoice in it now! wine

In the Neighbourhood, "Mandela meets D. Klerk" and "Fall of Berlin wall" was an impact because a lot of my neighbours came back from East Germany. They were all over with the typical motorcycles and those small, cheap, very colored thingies that really symbolised them.laugh rolling on the floor laughing rolling on the floor laughing cool

I remember sitting on my mother-in-law's living room, in Slidell, Louisiana, watchng the fall of the Wall...speechless...ecstatic...never thought it would happen, not so soon.

Twenty years ago, I was 25, young and beautiful, and minus two kids...I wouldn't change a minute (well, maybe two or three minutes) of my life during the last 20 years...

I went to Berlin in 1989 for the last time - before the wall came down.

My son Roman Alessandro was born in Berlin on 3rd July 1989.

Tomorrow he'll be 20.

I have never even seen a photograph of him but my now ex fiancee talked to him a few weeks ago and he asked her for my address and said he'd write to me.

He hasn't written yet.

I live in hope.
