....music, but I Iove it. I love to dance and move, that´s my excuse. I think having kids very young also has had an influence. They introduced to me music way past the decades that many older parents experience. They still do in fact!

Is there anything you love to do, but in the back of your mind feel you are really too old to enjoy in a conventionally, acceptable way?

Here is a sample of my dance music.

Not just music by the way...anything.

Jan1305: That´s it jojo, fun. I go out clubbing with my kids when I go back to the UK, or when they visit me here in Spain, and there is no age divide. Well ok a little, but musio wise we have a ball.

That is so cool Jan. I hope and wish I will be able to do same with my kids when they are old enough to go clubbing. CRAP Won't my daughter be real sorry then, she taught me all those street dance moves??? LMAO rolling on the floor laughing rolling on the floor laughing rolling on the floor laughing (Jeez, doesn't even bear thinking about!!!!!!!!!!) rolling on the floor laughing

When my son started to listen to music (about 12) he listened to house and up till now I still dislike any repetitive beats. DU DU DU DU DU not my thing. Even when I opened my store I was selling CD's I refused to sell house.(the term I use for all repetitive music) If they ordered I would always keep it under the counter. So I steered him towards more likeable music

and now he has evolved even to Slipknot okay so he went to overkill.

We're never too old for music and dance...dancing dancing boogie dance elephant dancing dog violin guitar
I was raised up hearing classical music and i remember my belated father used to tease me saying:" Your music won't last long but this type of classical music never dies"..
I was married to a D.J. and a singer and my 3 daughters they all play piano, syntesiser, guitar. In fact my eldest has her own band and they play gigs all over europe and even every year they're invited to play at this international music festival in Austin, Texas.
Having said all this Jan, i have the music in me and i can still do the salsa.... dancing "VIVE LA MUSICQUE"

Wooffy i agree with you regarding house music..not to my taste either.
My daughter's band called The Beangrowers play indie/alternative rock and it took a while for the locals here to adjust to the tunes. They were awarded to be the first local export bands.conversing

Hi there!

I don't think you're ever too old for anything as long as you have the strength and energy to do it. I never feel old when I'm dancing. I enjoy it as much as when I was young and I think it is the best form of exercise. We have a well-equipped fitness center in my job and we are free to use it anytime, but I don't enjoy that.. I prefer to be in the privacy of my own home.

The only thing that I am really scared of learning is driving. I witnessed a terrible accident when I was in high school -- a classmate of mine was crushed by a vehicle right before my eyes, with all the blood and bone marrow coming out right there on the spot. It was awful.. I don't think I'll ever have the courage to learn how to drive.. and my sense of orientation is very bad and my technical skills are very poor.. and all other things. Very bad doh

Good God! Ama! There was a show way back when in someplace called 'The Naked City' and the narrator would always say. 'There are eight million stories in the Naked City; this has been one of them.'....Sometimes I read a bit of a post and think about that line. The things some of us have seen that make us who we are at this moment are so much more complex and complicated than we could ever imagine. Hidden behind our online personas, I don't think we ever imagine it...

whoh I know the mother of a famous rockstarblushing head banger wow
Seriously it is very good. The video was not really my cup of tea. But the sound is great. Is she the singer? (dumb question I guess) but there could be others in the group that are not on the vid.

fantastic I always wanted to do something like that but I couldn't sing and I had no inkling how to play a musical instrument. It just wasn't in me. My cousin played in a group for a while and they had a few moderate hits in Canada. One song that became their biggest hit was "Blue Bonnie Blue" was first given to Gary Pucket and the Uinion Gap. They tried to record it and after 17 hours of studio time they still didn't have a sound that was acceptable. The 49th Parallel (the name of the group) Recorded it in 2 hours.
All good things to your daughter.
