The boys mother has them for one week of the holidays, it's a court order. She made no arrangements before or during the holidays so we carried on as normal. The boys where going on camp tomorrow for a week and they were keen to go.

The kids lawyer rings thrusday evening telling us their mother is coming to pick them up Friday. The boys didn't want to go they had made other arrangements I said to her. So the oldest rang his mum to tell her he didn't want to go because of camp and because he was going to be one of the youth leaders, the little one told her he didn't want to go and he really didn't want to go without his bother.

friday at 4.00pm their mother had them uplifted by the police and sips.

it was sad crying

like you,I am Solo Father to a wonderful, awesome young adult Daughter and young Adult Son ...so I feel your pain...
Actually there was a very interesting program, hosted on 1ZB talk back show this morning on the plight of Decent and caring Fathers here in New Zealand and how they are alienated by the system .....I have joined a group here in New Zealand called 'Fathers support',a great brunch of Guys....Google it...and appraise it your self....Keep strong Mate....Can tell you a awesome Dad....and be proud of that....!!...all the best to you handshake

there was no arrangements made from lawyers or there mother, we don't have contact details for her, until thrusday evening when the lawyer rang we were in the dark about the whole thing. That's how we got the contact details for their mother (lawyer), when we got the number and we tried to sort it, but no one cared wat me and the boys wanted including their mother, Police sips judge you name it we tried everyone.

Anyway I just finished talking to them and we're fine it wasn't a nice thing to happen but it won't happen again. scold

In response to: Should kids be heard, if so why does no one listen?

I hear my son
His dad came up and tried to see him today without me knowing

his dad left six months ago and got married two months later she told my son to f off out of his fathers life as he was theirs now

My son decided it was black and white and hasn't seen or spoken to him since
Today my son asked mr to get a lawyer for him so he could have a voice and choose for himself what is good for him and his dads relationship

I haven't been listening enough to my son I have always believed that dads should still be a part of thier kids life

Now I think differently and each casee should be taken as separate issuses

So am I wrong when I am off to get him a lawer tomorrow

....What the...!!!....Hang on,let me please get this straight,so I understand the picture....I take your ex Husband new Wife told your Son to F@#k off...Because The Boys Father is hers now..???.Is that correct.....???? Well if that's the case, here is my response....sorry if I sound blunt here.....

1/ good on you for getting a Lawyer to represent your Son.....looks like you are going need one, sorry to say this.

2/ I am a Solo Father as well, and if a so called new Lady partner of mine, would tell me that my Kids had to 'F@#k off'...her feet wouldn't even be touching the floor, as I would be drop kicking her out the door so fast it wouldn't be funny.....

very mad

3/Have to ask this and sorry, if this is upsetting,Your Sons Father.....where is his 'Head Space'.....like, you mean to tell me He's going to accept that behavior and attitude, from his so called new,so called 'Wife',I would like to call her something else!!!!....Well,if that's the case....I am just shaking my head in total disbelief...

Again I can not believe what's happen here...and I truly wish you ,and your Son all the best... handshake

....And young ladly you have spoken some very true words and you are very correct New Zealand is not a good place if you are a ,loving and a decent, caring Father....and who suffers the most here ....The 'Children'.....and that is so 'Heart breaking....sigh blues
