Hello Andrew149 and welcome, i have put friends on my profile and i would prefer to start of as friends and if something else developes through the friendship well..lucky for me..i cant answer for others..

I think they're slow and cautious so as to make sure they don't end up best friends with any loony tunes or stalkers
