I used to be on sites that had computer generated answers from bots, but it wasn't like this. They were set phrases and answers, nothing personal to individuals..........

First - I do not believe it is computer made, it is just a way of pulling a leg
But - because the questions are repeated in a certain way, with very little real interaction from the OP, where the follow up Qs from him are often far from original Q or even the reply to which he reacts, it is very much looking like a software AI. Such software is very advanced today, reacting to not only keywords, but order and combination with other words or superlatives.
In fact, such a software would be better in this than Gilly!
