I'm like Trish..I can be shy until I get to know someone and I also think I have some old fashioned values...where I like the guy to make the first move!
Don't ask me where I got them and sometimes they can be a reeeeeaaaal pain! lol
Hawk, in most cases, if we didn't, we'd sit here forever. I wish women would make more first moves. A few days ago, I met a woman in person at a local pub, she was sitting with people that I know. After chatting with her for quite a while, I offered her my phone #, for the next time that she would be in town. She refused it. 2 days later I got a call from one of the other people that were present that night, offering me her Phone # on her behalf. The explanation; she was old fashioned, and believes that a woman should never call a man. I believe otherwise, so, my voice will not be heard on her phone. Paws
Well, like my user name states...i am a shy girl! In other words, NO, i would not generally make the first move. However, when there's something i truly want, i go after it! As it turns out, that's how it happened with my guy, i made the first move, first time in my life and it really paid off! It was not something i would have ever thought i could do, but i took a risk, put myself out there...and voila!...nine months later and still going strong.
I would definitely make the first move after I made sure that there's grounds for a relationship.
I don't usually like to keep my interest to myself unless of course there are other circumstances (here I refer to the real world) where we have to keep back but I've grown confident over the years...
After all, what's the worse that can happen?
That said, I agree that it would be nice to see more women taking the initiative.
Of course I would make the first move and have. Sometimes the guy isn't sure so go for it ladies. Just like asking your banker for a they will either laugh in your face for even thinking that would happen or toss the papers on the table and say sign here baby. Guess the banker would'nt call you baby, now would he?
