Hawk, in most cases, if we didn't, we'd sit here forever. I wish women would make more first moves. A few days ago, I met a woman in person at a local pub, she was sitting with people that I know. After chatting with her for quite a while, I offered her my phone #, for the next time that she would be in town. She refused it. 2 days later I got a call from one of the other people that were present that night, offering me her Phone # on her behalf. The explanation; she was old fashioned, and believes that a woman should never call a man. I believe otherwise, so, my voice will not be heard on her phone. Paws

Well, like my user name states...i am a shy girl! In other words, NO, i would not generally make the first move. However, when there's something i truly want, i go after it!
As it turns out, that's how it happened with my guy, i made the first move, first time in my life and it really paid off! It was not something i would have ever thought i could do, but i took a risk, put myself out there...and voila!...nine months later and still going strong.

I would definitely make the first move after I made sure that there's grounds for a relationship.
I don't usually like to keep my interest to myself unless of course there are other circumstances (here I refer to the real world) where we have to keep back but I've grown confident over the years...
After all, what's the worse that can happen?
That said, I agree that it would be nice to see more women taking the initiative.
