Take Away The Forums, The Blogs, The, Polls, etc. (22)
MissRebel47Richfield, Minnesota USA4 Threads 8 PostsWhat would you have? Just a bunch of profiles from people all over the world, right? I've read posts from many who say that they're here for the forums(I'm guilty of that also)but I'm gonna play devil's advocate here. If ConnectingSingles was to get rid of the forums, blogs, polls, everything except posting and responding to profiles, what would you do? For you personally, would there be any reason to continue coming to this site? If you could no longer vent or rant or spout poetry, or "hang out" with your new-found friends in here, would you come to this site? If you take away all the other activities that this site has while we each(for want of better words) search for that special someone(which is what this site was intended to assit with) would you even bother to come here at all?

I think you have a good point, I would probable lose interest just like all the other sites that I lost interest in. good thread!

I don't think I would come here. The forums really give you a chance to see the in's and out's of a person's true colors. I have only contacted men that I met here, usually because I like something they say or we share similar views.

I have to admit I might loose interest but then again I talked to people for a while before I discovered the forums. I'd probably check in especially if I had friends to email.

Yep, true. It is convenient to mail friends from here. My interest in the forum sort of comes and goes, depending on the threads and the programming on the tube or whatever else goes on. Still, it's nice to have it as an alternative form of entertainment.

After a few days of just checking profiles and such id get bored or aggrivated with it and move on.
god i would have to do just wait for someone to meet me by chance instead.
I think this site does need all this because it keeps you coming back, but it does kind of distract you from the reason you're on here
