Okay, I'm stuck inside because I damaged a disk in my neck and I've got too much time on my hands on mandatory rest... so bear with me and my posts.

Anyway, there's a show on TV where a lady sells dog accessories to rich people. Some little flap to cover a small dog's back sells for the equiv of $ 80-100. There's more obscene, useless stuff for "Fluffy" at horrendous prices that these people go gaga over and are buying.

Then I flipped to another channel and there's a doc about people living in poverty, children covered in dirt and filth, without sanitation and worse, a young boy dying because there are no meds.

frustrated

(Yeah, this is how I cracked the disk in the first place laugh)

There was a TV program on last night I was watching, where they said that an English millionaire had just bought the world's most expensive dog kennel. It had wide screen plasma TV, cable, even a phone. And it cost £25,000 ($41,700, or Euros 29,000).

Utterly disgusting, when the next item on the news is about people in London living in extreme poverty...

very mad

thumbs up Your contrast couldn't be more eloquent.

Sadly, human life has taken a back seat to money, animals and the planet.
As examples: The ones who say that Earth is overpopulated...I don't see them complain about the space they are taking.
Or the ones decrying the mistreatment of animals while a full fledged genocide is going on in Africa.
Or the ones who complain about the taxes going to social programs when corporations are looting government coffers in loopholes for their profit margins.

What will they think of next to express their true hidden feelings that the poor have no place on this Earth?

Geezuz... this one woman just spent 1000 Euros on a carrying bag for her pug "Sir so-and-so". She said: "other people spend that money on designer clothing but I wear just a regular t-shirt"...

although i love my dogs, and look after them well, i agree with you all, that is just plain ludicrous. It is heartbreaking to see the living conditions of many, and if you have the means at all, you shouldcontribute, especially when you have the funds to waste on such frivolities.

I am playing Devils advocate here....

What do you people spend your money on?

Do you need the internet to live?

Do you drive a car?

Do you wear makeup? Do you have more than one chair in your house?

Y'all could live in a tent and survive...

Do you have more than 2 sets of clothes?

Most of you look like you eat too well and too often.....

Do you paint your fingernails?

Do you have more than one pair of shoes?

Do you all wear pretty underwear?

Do you bathe every day?

Do you recycle everything?

or are oyu just a bunch of hypocrites who think it is someone eses job to help the poor.

Bring it on....
