Yes, and I've taught other women how to shoot defensively (there are ways to make sure you keep your gun, and draw fast and clean) and how to carry concealed when I was my county chapter's president for the Second Amendment Sisters.
I was raised that if you have to shoot, shoot to kill, 'cuz dead men don't tell lies, and taught how to shoot a revolver to protect my younger sisters and I when I started babysitting them at the age of 15.

Cant own a gun here in canada..
Unless its registered and used for hunting..
I dont like guns what so ever..

same here not that the law stops folk..
we have alot of gang shootings here n they often get the wrong innocent youngster..
I doubt that having a firearm would make me any safer, n faced with danger it is unlikely that I would be able to shoot someone

I hear you there..there are many more ways to protect ourselfs then guns..I dont like them and know many that have killed someone else..
yeh i know teach ur children how to use them properly..
