the crocs are real. people do it here. i've been in their estuaries among them many times, day and night. They have stalked my brothers, coming right into their camps in the night. they do occasionally eat people.

it was monsoon season and i was 80 miles out of derby in nw aust - alone on a flooded major river. i was catching and shipping giant freshwater prawns south. on the last night of it i stood on the cement outflow of a culvert under the partially flooded road. i was having my last look at 2am. i climbed down onto the cement ledge with floodwater outpouring beside me.

i shone my torth around to count the crocodiles. there were a dozen or so... as i was about to turn and climb back toward my car the cement i was standing on collapsed in the darkness, receding abruptly and almost throwing me straight at them. i dropped about a foot straight downwards and my knees turned to instant mush in the muddy water as i staggered backwards. god what a fright!

of course i have ridden a croc to the bank - everyone i know in queensland rides the croc to the bank, it is so much cheaper than buying peyrol since the price of it rose. For longer trips we tend to use the kangaroo and if there is no rush the koala is always a good choice.
Why don't you come out and experience the joys of wildlife riding?

Its a lot saver riding a crocodile because at least while your still in the water the mosquitoes don't bite as much, certainly not as much as they do when riding a buffalo.
On the other end the scale, my mates daughter using an old law in Tasmania, paid her outstanding council rates with five chicken.

Everybody know Steve rode crocodiles all the way to the bank, the question is a no-brainier, of cause Aussies ride crocodiles to the bank...

Nope, haven't taken a ride on a croc yet, it is on my to do list. I have eaten a goanna though coz he looked at me the wrong way. laugh I prefer to saddle up my kangaroo too, much quicker and less cantankerous, although a kangaroo will still give you a hiding if you mess with it. wow boxing I have been on the recieving end of a box in the face from a kangaroo.

It is the deadly snakes and spiders you have to be careful of here. They invade your home and try to snuggle up with you in the middle of the night. wow

We send our mail by pelican becase their beak can hold more than their belly can, and voicemail is by cockatoo where they have no phone services. You gotta say that Aussie wildlife is the most versatile in the world.peace
