heres my question I know how long it takes to actually write letters I do so weekly, it takes time to write a letter. To send one e-mail letter and then start responding then sends another letter and then respond to that person too then another and another and anthoer... My question is :how are all you managing this feat? I post in order so my ideas and personality reach many... So whats the secret ??form letters like resume's or like junk mailers. no real emotion or thought given to theindividual person you are writng too... Seriously How is it done and still maintain your home and job and whatever else is required of you when offline.
To me an Internet dating site is merely a tool to meet someone. It's not my lifestyle. I'm not interested in having email conversations that last for months. If I'm serious about someone and she feels the same way about me we'll take it to the telephone. If she isn't willing to do that then she's probably not the woman for me anyway.

I am a lousy letter writer so most of the time i'm here i am in IM also. I don't like to go straight to the phone till I have a feel for the person. If I like them I can call then thru my PC so they dont have my home phone.
Calling through the PC is a good idea. A person can also use a calling card on a home phone to accomplish the same thing.
I'm actually pretty good at writing letters, but unlike you I can never get a feel for a person until after I've heard them on the phone. To me, reading words on a screen is far too impersonal. Although, that changes after we've spoken on the phone. Then I'm no longer talking to a stranger.
Also, I absolutely aborh IM. I won't even load the software on my computer. I've been misunderstood on IM so bad in the past that I just won't even go there anymore. IM is ok for talking to someone I already know, but to try to get to know someone via IMing would be sure suicide for me. I won't touch it for the purpose of trying to get to know someone. I'd be better off to just pull the plug on my computer and say forget the whole thing.

I think most people use the site for a cultivating or weeding out process.
After a comfort zone is established and mutual attraction and interest is there, most people exchange personal email addresses. Instant message and eventually exchange telephone numbers.
It is convenient while posting to the forums to exchange brief emails and/or flowers with another person on the site.
Please, no form letters.
Somehow, I do not picture you as one of those types.
the time needed to compose a letter that has substance. I am basing this on what I would want to read in a letter. the do unto others rule applies here, and that is a commitment I have in writing letters, same applies to E-mail with those I have yet to know. Best foot forward and all that.

It is difficult to juggle time for a social life in this busy world.
I would ask myself how important it is to actually have a life outside of work, home and if applicable, family.
Speaking for myself, my opinion, I do not require a lengthy letter from someone, just something original that sets them apart, and shows an expression of interest in me.
One day some woman is going to light you up and you will find the time to correspond with her.
to believe cupid has a e-mail box is much like a young child sending a letter to the north polefor Santa
I place/find hope in the child that still believes in fairytales/happy endings... that resides in each of our hearts. and tonite for some reason this child in me is running rampant.
