DonauAttika, Attica Greece5 Threads 283 PostsYes I think we can. We are not victims, we have the possibility to decide what we want it to be-its up to us to see things in a negative way or to give them a turn, a logical explanation and turn the energy into a positive one.
Phoenix: So people is it possible to turn negative energy into positive energy???

The power of positive thinking?

Crying in the chapel?

Miracles can and do happen.
But first we have to get our attention off of the desired gift, and onto the giver.
Interesting subject. In a personal growth course .... when people are feeling negative about themselves, about "where they going in life", unable to visualise something they are wanting ........ they were told to write down 5 things they have accomplished in their lives. Everyone had accomplished at least 5 things! Which proved they could accomplish what they needed to.
Something else ... about one`s day to day feelings ... being "up" or "down" - to remember that every day brings new emotions - which affect how one sees the world around them. These feelings are unique to each individual, and they are ones ENTITLEMENT, with no need to dislike any one emotion, or worry about it, because it will change soon to a different emotion.
So, to my mind, negatives and positives are just different facets of life viewed from a unique perspective?

I ALWAYS get what I concentrate on and as with many emotionally insecure people, I am so shocked when I find happiness that I fear losing it so much that the negative thoughts become reality.
Now I must not fear being happy again!

Letting go can be difficult, but sometimes it's the only thing you can do. Can't fix anyone, they have to do it themselves, all we can do is allow them their process, be supportive, and occasionally poke them with a sharp stick.

Thank you Robert, that may well be the nicest thing anyone's ever said to me in the entire time I've been on the site.
I've been trying to get out of here, and over there for a while, it'll happen yet. I have to make my world famous bagels for the blond lady, and watch Clangers and Bagpuss episodes for an entire weekend.

I can only take so much American humour before I want to gouge my eyes out with a fork and stick ice picks in my ears.

I find the truth especially painful and very hard to deal with.
I prefer to live in denial of the truth than face the awful reality.
To accept the truth makes death less painful than looking into the mirror of life and accepting eternal failure.
Yet............... although I do not fear death 0.00000001% of me says:

Excuse me Bobert but I unerstood you said...that when you find happiness you are waiting for it to turn sour....So much so that almost want it to happen...As if you have some sort of 'death wish'...but you finished by saying..you have nothing to be afraid about by being/finding happiness(finishing on a positve)...And Jo agreed with you;in that there is nothing to fear about being happy...(unless I mis-understood something)

Then in your next post...you do a complete U-turn and start dwelling on the negative???? Why not rest with accepting the happiness...And consentrate on that. Maybe it wont go wrong...
