To tell you the truth, where I live men still pay for dates
If I'm being asked out on a date he usually pays, if I ask him to come with me to the mall or somewhere, and then I want to eat, I'll probably offer to pay, but most men here will pick up the tab at a movie counter, or for icecream, or coffee. I haven't dated in a looong time, but the last time I wnt out on a date, I didn't pay, I didn't even offer to pay, the man would have been offended...
Maybe that's just how it is overhere.

The reason I've paid and have gone dutch is because his income is less then mine.
