kitty01: Found the mouse on the road, it does not even have its eyes open yet. Phoned the pet store but they will not take it, said to raise it ourselves.
It is only about an inch and one half long. Tried to feed it some milk with a syringe and put it in a plastic margarine container with wood bedding.
Hope we can keep it alive, any suggestions.
Awwwwww! kitty thats the kind of thing I do too. I guess just keep it warm and do exactly what you're doing already..

I don't believe it can make it. You have a good heart but nature is in control of this little creature...sorry.

I suggest: don't keep it...I don't think it would make a nice pet...Me, I would really feel <sick> if you were to present me with your pet. Sorry Kitty

Having tried to rescue newborn bunnies and kittens, you can try KMR. It is a milk replacer food supplements for kittens & small animals liquid. You can find it at WalMart and possibly any pet store. Has more nutrients than regular milk.
Didn't have much luck with the bunnies but we have had good success with kittens.
One thing almost forgot, you will have to "stimulate" the newborn to urinate.
Found a newborn baby bird once laying under my clothesline in my back yard.I called and called several wildlife places but they told me to just let nature take it's course ,as in just let it lay on the ground and die.
Actually the cat brought another baby to the same spot. Now we have two mice to look after. got some milk and a syringe from the pet store. Will see what happens.
