What is your favourite locally produced food, drink etc ?

For me it is an Arbroath Smokie, which is smoked haddock.

I am rather partial to special import from Englandshire and that is
Yorkshire Pudding ..... grin

Ahh Yes, tapas is a wonderful part of the Spanish culture.
I had a girlfriend from Cadiz so went a few times and experienced the real thing. The fresh fish were my favourite dishes, octopus in particular.

A pan of Scouse......

It's basically a pan of Stew, but very thick and with dumplings..

When I was a kid we had 'Blind Scouse' Which basically meant there was no meat in it!

This sounds good, I expect the "Blind Scouse" was for when times were hard. My Yorkshire mum made simething called "season pudding" which was a savory cake starter, it had suet, sage, onion, ? and it was baked and served hot with gravy. In hard times the kids were told " Whoever eats the most, will get the most meat" idea being they would be too full up for much meat.grin

Anyway, it is really tasty to if anyone has the recipe, please pass it on... TA.

We have potato scones which sounds exactly the same. Traditionally they are shallow fried and go with the Full Monty Sunday breakfast.

I discovered the G a couple of years ago. Did a switch from larger due to stomach grumbles, it's braw stuff.

Honey has been harder to get hold of than normal due to the decline in bees. I had no idea why but have just found the following story :
