Are you looking for personal ideas on the word, (not real defintions), because there are several dictionaries online with accurate definitions in them, if you wanted the real thing.......???dunno

To me,compassion means that you have the
willingness to understand the person
and the ordeal he/she has been through.

An understanding of other people predicament alone means nothing if there is no willingness to step in and hold their hand through the hardships.
Understanding and offering help is compassion.
