It's not easy, and there is no perfect answer either.

You have taken the first step, allowing yourself to find someone.

When talking to a women, be yourself, and don't put on airs, or those use stupid pick lines or cliches. BE YOURSELF. First just say hello... it's that simple. Make eye contact.

From there it's up to you and the lady. I'm no expert, but "hello" and eye contact means a lot to me.

Welcome, you seem new here.

It's really hard to meet new people, especially as you get older.
It's not like it was in high school.
You've done well to try using this method.
It's great to build confidence. Sometimes, just talking to other people will help you move on to the next step of finding someone to be yourself with.
Hope you have the time to check out the rest of the forums, post comments, and just be heard.
Whatever you do, good luck to you.

you'll be fine, just be yourself. and a smile does wonders. the rest will follow.
just chatting with people and participating in the forums does alot to get you back into the loop, and it kind of carries over into your own life.
good luckwave

thumbs up ... There are a few parents on here with one or more children with special needs. In their cases, they are having a harder time because of the toll, and time it takes to look after them.

JMO, sometimes there seems to be more single parents with kids, than there are singles with no kids.

Everyone here has given great advise. Most important one,... be yourself Hunter. It will happen when it's supposed to.

Hey Dude, hang in there. Take solace in the fact that your are THERE for your kids. And many women are in a similar boat.

And I know the limitations of being in a small town, too.

Just hang in there, and above all: NOTHING turns a woman off faster than a guy who appears/comes across as needy, so don't be "that"

Take your time, raise your kids, and be patient.

Dating,/ Finding someone to Share your experiences with.

Be Yourself, Open Honest, Communication is the key to happiness,

Find some women who want to be Friends and start there, Its not easy to open up to strangers, however they won't be strangers if you say hello.

Congratulations on being a single dad! Enjoy your kids, and as time goes along, you will find that people will start coming into your life. Get involved in the kids activities and social events if you can, these things tend to open up your own social circle. Good luck.

I think you are a brave man, to care for four children! Im sure that you will eventually meet someone, just hang in there, as my Dad used to say, "you never know whats right around the corner" You sound like a nice person... and what the heck you may meet someone who wants to have children in thier lives.. what would the world be without them? good luck to you
