She is super talented...she is hella funny and she has been in the industry along time! They need some humor on that show...I will miss Paula though...she was unpredictable!------ This thread is Archived ------

Simon Cowell has no talent personally either but he is an excellent judge of what talent can make money. Ellen is a comedian but she is also very smart when it comes to business. Music is a big business so maybe she will do well. In the end it is left to the voters to make the final decision so she might at least make it fun to get to that point.

Third: Ellen should not be replacing Paula-every judge has had experience specifically for music. I don't believe she will be a good judge at all. I love Ellen but not for Idol. I haven't watched it since Underwood won-I knew she would since I saw her audition.
There is enough craziness about the show as is and Ellen will not help-yes she's funny but I don't believe judge is the first choice to come to mind.

Yep, then the show would get interesting. Waiting for the "Little P" to screw up Big time.....otherwise, I think the show, itself, would be dull and boring. Her antics are why I kept tuning in every season. Tired of Simon telling people they suck. That's old hat now............

People don't realize what a financial wizard Simon Cowell really is. He is executive producer of 6 TV shows and receives a percentage of any deals or sales ANY contestant on American Idol signs. He also receives royalties from Il Divo and a few other stars he found.
His 40 million a year salary for American Idol is but a mere pittance of the 300 million a year he makes from all his other deals.........
