morge8: Firstly, for me I would have to enjoy and feel comfortable in her company, that would be the attraction, more so than the physical. Basically then a friendship could form, the beginnings of a bond of trust. When the trust has developed enough, I could risk intimacy, Body, Mind and Spirit. I would need this risking of intimacy to be reciprocated so that the relationship has, mutuality and a sense of equality and can grow.
Of course this can only happen if both people are aware enough of their own inner pain and are responsible enough to take responsibility for it, and avoid projecting onto each other. The conflicts that develop in relationships, are in reality inner conflicts within each individual, that largely have to be worked through by the individual. If this inner conflict is projected onto each other the relationship will become stuck and in most cases break down

What a wonderfully healthy attitude.It has set me thinking that maybe women are a little more willling sometimes to make that risk with intimacy. It is a much more difficult process for men, except with the physical.
Yea it is easier for women in a way, coz girls are generally raised to be comfortable with their emotional selves and boys generally are'nt..
By the way I learned a lot of this from women i've met or female authers who've written on the subject.

to be respected,thought of and made happy, of course it take two people for this to happen
