EliteOneBrisbane, Queensland Australia38 Threads 1,590 PostsI downloaded the latest version of Microsoft word which overtook the whole system so I removed it.Now my problem is when I deleted it, it seemed to have kept may drives including some programs which I cannot delete. So what is happening now its correcting my spelling and changing it into words I have never heard before without my knowledge. how do I remove it completely without formatting the whole system. any help would be much appreciated.

If u want to delete it permanently then login your computer in the safe mode and delete it..should work.

Deleted, not uninstalled? You may have to search your registry and remove all associated files pertaining to Microsoft Word. Tedious and can be dangerous if you don't know what to look for.

If you deleted just the folder rather than doing an uninstall then all sorts of problems will occur.
Best to reinstall word, reboot and then go to your control panel and use the uninstall facility there, good luck

Italy101: Go to add or remove hardware and uninstall the program you installed, then restart your comp right after..... Your problems should be cleared......
You mean add or remove SOFTWARE.
As he already binned the folder, that will fail sadly, he needs to reinstall and then uninstall, booting in between of course.

never play with registry unless you know exactly what you are doing. Can't believe someone up there suggested it to you.
