It means someone or some group are up to no darn good.....
I have great contempt and disgust for free-loaders and fraudsters and also for the government for their repeated failures and selfish greed.

What it means to me is .... Contempt is closely related to disgust, and what disgust and contempt are about is completely rejecting and excluding someone from the community.
Concerning ex`s who behave like this .......Having someone you love express contempt toward you is so stressful that it begins to affect the functioning of your immune system, and so you actually better off just vanishing them from your life, whatever the cost.

Sometimes we gotta watch our own feelings when we feel those emotions towards others ..... It could be we putting ourselves "above" them and judging them? Problem is,we can't walk in someone elses Shoes,so in the end we will still be judging the situation from our own Perspective.Detachment might be the best thing,and I don't mean Bodyparts.

A sad person, methinks. Quite pathetically lonely, and no wonder or mystery as to why!Well, they say that the sludge in the heart finds its way to the brain eventually - and I guess it`s gotta be got rid of somehow -even if its just penning vitriol....?
I don`t know why, but when that person writes anything I always get the mental image of a person sitting in a locked room with bars on the windows, and a little hatch in the door where the food gets slid in.

Contempt and Disgust is what I feel just prior to feeling pity for someone, followed by absolute dismissal of the person from my realm of reality. Contempt and Disgust is when I realize that nothing the person can do will ever be able to garner respect from me. I don't often feel contempt and disgust, but it sho' be a powful thing then!!'

I only feel those for child molesters.
I feel disgust for a lot of people, but this is aimed at their actions and not at themselves.
And to think that there is such a thing as "contempt of court"!! Who the hell do they think they are, just because they have a judicial function in society.
I never use the word contempt in my vocabulart.
