Anyone know what it`s all about?
I just read about it ... and am interested to know if anyone here has tried it? Seems the odds of meeting someone at one of these sessions is the same as any odd meeting ... except everyone is there for the same purpose....?
Ignore ME .. I`m too old for this type of thing ... but interested in what goes on in this world!

I don't know very much about speed dating..But a few years ago I was running honky tonk in Sarkoville..And the upstairs there was a speed dating thing every Thursday....I never had a look...
But my reckoning of it is...it should work, most people when they go for an interview for a job..Well we all know the interviewer has made his/her mind up within the first few mins (if not sooner) if you are getting the job or not...I suspose applying the same logic to dating...I think it's a goer...

Yeah, sounds interesting. Apparently (?)... the organisers get a bunch of males and females together, and you get about 6mins to "interview" each other ....... filling out a questionaire at the end of all the interviews (everyone gets to interview everyone) the organisers will give out the private emails adresses of the person you interested in.....?
Depending on the quality of the organisation, there are follow ups later....

I´ve never participated, but I have done a speed dating English class exercise a few times. It´s great fun, I use it to enable students to practice introductions, and giving basic information about themselves.

Saying how our initial reactions to others is based on split second assimilations - how fleeting expressions and body language is absorbed by our sub-concious and impressions are made........
