In regards to these Questions: It's about learning more about ourselves, about our inner psychology and what makes us tick, not just use the Internet Highway for waste and nonsense. We should use these post to put some meaning in our lives if we are going to put the Internet in our lives, then let it have meaning..... and use the time constructive.

NOT AT ALL! My mindset was (and still is) rather "the best is yet to come". I'm now past my mid-40's, still fit, healthy, intellectually active and much, much more self-conscious than I was twenty (or less) years ago. I pity those guys who dye their hair, buy sportscars and are wearing pants way too tight in the vain hope they can hook up girls half their age, believing this can make them live a second youth.

When I turned 40? No way !But it's 6 years later and alot has changed in terms of the way I feel about relationship's and such.
I can remember how I felt at 40. Been too, too, too many years ago. I think I was alive and well and enjoying life. If life is over at 40 then I have been having one hell of a good time.
The past decade has been pretty crap actually regarding mariage and family breakup at the start of it. Then the failure of a 3 yr relationship in the next half. Been taking the past few years out from it all and letting time do it's magical healing. Nearly there, I've learnt a hell of a lot. Looking forward to a fresh start to the next decade ....

Oh hell yeah, as soon as I reached 40 I realised it was downhill from then on... my bones ached more as every year passed also.. and this is a real drag. My hair turns whiter more quicker, so costs me a fortune in hairdye
Also, the 40s are the time when empty nest syndrome takes a grip and thoughts of menapause or even a pause between men haunt thoughts
Then there's the funeral plans that used to be aimed at the over 50s but are now for the 40 plus
Yes, 40 is the new washed up age, no doubt about that
Before I turned 40 I dreaded the thought; I guess I felt like my younger years were long gone. But really,I've never felt so in tune to what my dreams, wants and desires are. I feel more passionately toward all things in my life.
