or should there be a board of trustees that could vote on whether you are agreeable enough to participate? if i find someone disagreable i attempt to stay away from them.
sometimes days later, i might see that same person post some positive and useful.

Disagreeing is normal and inevitable.
I don't see why people disagreeing with each other should stay away from each other?
Does it mean that you are incompatible and should be put in to different rooms?
It's people who don't have courtesy and/or skills to carry on a discussion, and mistake discussing a thread topic with personal attacks and insults, I find very distasteful
It's NOT a controversy like some here say, it's just a trashy behaviour.

sorry i was not clear. i thought it was a given that to be on the boards, people would like discussion in one form or another.
i attempt to stay away from engaging certain personality types sometimes, by personal choice.
you are, however making my point.
just because i may not like the way someone might carrt themselves, that does not mean they do not have a place here.
this place would get awful boring and one sided.
i could just sit by myself if i wanted to be with someone that agreed all the time

I find it would be a pretty boring world if everyone totally agreed all the time with each others views.There would absolutely no need for back and forth disscussions of a particular topic if that were the case.I think we'd all become totally bored without having someone to interact with.
