Well, that's all good and well unless your child knows how to bypass your passwords and such, like my oldest son did......

my 10yr old daughter was invited onto face book by a class mate..i said no...but do i let her join??? it is only facebook....or is it???
I just signed my 11y/o boy onto Facebook But I told him he is to only have kids as friends... His sisters are on it, one is 14 and the other 18... I really don't think it's a big deal. Facebook has quite a good privacy and I think kids are a lot smarter now than we were when we were their age... I trust my kids to make the right decisions and they need to learn about the crazy world we live in so that they can be better equipped when they hit high school and beyond.

I was reading our local newspaper with article about... Get mums off facebook' the kids are polling andjoining together to get parents off their space... they are wanting their privacy..naturally the parents want to know what little jonny and susie are doing... so there is a bit of a war going on down under. kids v parents. Thankfully my kids never had computers when they were growing up so I personally would not know what the answer is... but good luck to all who are trying to decide

10 years old is too young in my book; I think as a teen it's ok but you have to have the ID name and password as well and you can go into it at any time
