I dust everyday cause I have an alergy to dust.I don't like to feel like I'm living in a sterile hospital setting but on the other hand I don't want to be ashamed to let people in my home.
My sis-in-law lives in a super clean home and it makes me feel very uncomfortable when I go visit.

Geeee Betty....I thought I cleaned. You iron your sheets? I just turn the dryer on to get all the wrinkles out. I do the laundry as needed...a few times a week. But there is only my son and I at home. My whole house, in general, gets cleaned every 2 weeks. I don't have the traffic coming through that you do though. I'm teaching my son to pick up after himself and I do the same. That helps to lengthen the time in between cleanings. I make my bed daily, wash dishes as needed (usually daily).
I guess with the amount of people that you have coming through your house, it may be necessary to do what you do. You don't work outside the home, do you?

I have two friends who are what id call super clean one of them doesnt let you brush your hair i n her home if she has just hoovered(seriously),I also babysit a lot for family I dont mind my home getting messed up but I like to clean it up again when they leave I believe in keeping on tope of the housework because the longer and bigger the mess gets the longer you dter from doing it...

I do it myself I dont mind really..its therapeutic to me..but my daughter was telling me i was ocd..this comming from someone who kim and aggie would have trouble entering her home..
..i know she means well and wants me to rest more but I am rested a lot more when everything is where it should be an chores are done it dont take long to do the full house because there isnt much to do..makes sense to me..------ This thread is Archived ------

You are over the top on SOME of the stuff, but not all.
A clean place to live is the least one should expect. I used to be obsessively clean and I would even pick up little stuff off the carpet as I walked to the kitchen or bathroom, now THAT's over the top

Lint off the socks, a piece of mulch...things like that. It drives me crazy. Once you pick it up, the floor looks clean again.
If we are at the house a lot during the week, I will vacuum once a week. When I stay at school all day, the house doesn't get very dirty and so I wait an extra week. If I get bored, I might do it sooner. I can't stand a dirty house.

If I'm sewing and some thread happens to fall on the floor I will pick it up but alittle lint I just vacuum later on.I just figure the thread's not going anywhere anyway.
