What a lovely thread.

Since our Thanksgiving isn't here just yet, I will say what I'm thankful for. I'm thankful that I have to ability to work every day, that means I'm not bedridden. I'm thankful that I have two sons, I could've been infertile. I'm thankful that I have monthly utility bills, that means I have a roof over my head, I'm not cold in the winter, nor hot in the summer. I'm thankful for Slim, that I'm not being mistreated and abused. I'm thankful to be the person that I am today, that means the things I've been through didn't kill me.

Hello lovely lady

Its really ashame sometimes we take things for granted..and really not speakin out until such holidays come about..

I usually Thank God not every day..but every now and then for being alive and having family and as you said roof over our heads and not going to bed hungry..freezing and waiting for someone to hurt or harm us..

The sad part is you're exactly right. "Holiday" time is the only time some people think about such things, or even acknowledge that their ARE people out there in need.help

wave Hey fellow Canuck.

I'll be spending my Thanksgiving with my family;
have always made it a tradition to celebrate the
occasion with family.That beind said,I'll have
everything on the menu well,mostly traditional
foods.

I'm thankful because I have my family and friends,
I live in a country that's free,the land for it's
so beautiful.And,I'm also very thankful to have
my health as well as my family's health.

Good post J!teddybear

THANKSGIVING........ A day when "MEN" sit around and watch football while all the women prepare a fine meal. The meal can only be served at half time and when finished, the women immediately get off their lazy butts and clean up the mess while us men continue watching our football games and possibly a little nap.professor

The ladies (AFTER making sure the kitchen is cleaned) may then go prepare themselves for our second dessert..
