Yeah, it'd be nice if the Tories lost the next General Election.

Be nice if Labour lost it too. And the Liberals and UKIP and the Greens and the BNP and the Monster Raving Looney Party.

None of them even remotely represent the sort of government I'd like to see in this country.

I don't like any of the prats that represent all the parties either.

So which party do you suggest does represent what the majority of the REAL people want ?

leisure07: THE PRESIDENTS PARTY

Sure - we would do better than the bunch of chinless wonders and creeps we see on offer heading up all the current parties

Politics is becoming very elitist. The MPs are up for election at a younger age which suggests that most of them are Oxbridge educated and well connected - and they all talk posh (most of them). Seems like the ruling classes are taking over the UK. But even the non-Oxbridge types end up just like the rest.

Most of them are barristers (like the sound of their own voice)and have no idea what it's like to go without. How can they possibly make policies without any life experience?

I don't like any of them and can't remember the last time I bothered to vote.

But what gets me the most is the 'one rule for them and another for the rest of us' attitude. The expenses scandal is a prime example of crookedness.

I would vote for whatever party promised to scrap a few thousand laws - far too many at the moment - fines and so-called illegalities, and adopted a common sense approach to governing the country. Leave people to get on with their lives without being a nanny state, or a police state. frustrated

and there's the rub...loks like we are going to have a messy hung parliament....

there are so many parties now, and with trends of voting outwith the lab-con 'stasis', it's (not so) nicely summed up here by Crick

gadzooks! pretty scary huh...

being in scotland, i can't believe that i'm considering voting for the SNP...but I cannot help think its the best way to move towards a healthy democratic paradigm...it's not that I want scotland to be independent per se, but I want to see a more democratic process, and I think that's more tenable on the smaller scale we can afford here, by population.

If I could click my fingers I'd have the Greens, but that's a long way off, and may not be viable given our geo-political legacy , colonising half the world and then complaining about the consequences....we have always been too greedy, and vied for centre-stage....it's pretty pathetic....

the scandanavians are lucky by way of their geography....

and as for Tony Blair....how he can have the affront to assume a presidency of the EU....wherever he goes I wish he would take non-apologist Alistair Campbell with him....
