Well personality can be broken down into so many different parts. What Personality traits are you talking about?
I think the fight or flight thing is hereditary as its to do with the release of certain hormones.

I dont think it can be Hereditary because i know some really nice people who have close relations who are absolute idiots!

Yes to a certain extent we inherit traits from our parents, but who said " give me the child at seven and i will show you the man "

Maybe we just confuse a persons character as their personality but i think a big part of a persons personality is made up from environmental factors ?

Small children do have their own individual characters but I thinK an adults personality is formed by a combination of factors , their upbringing and environment, lifes experiences , education and travel really does broaden the mind and change your way of thinking,

im not sure who it was im thinking spencer could be wrong but he believed we are all born with a clean slate and it was nurture over nature. im not sure if i agree with that i think there are certain traits that are imprinted on us passed down through the generations

I think we can inherit so much from our parents though Looking at some of the studies of ADHD thats emerging, it seems a lot of it is inherited from a parent

Ah it is a series of documentaries which started when the 14 children were 7yrs in 1964 and continues every 7 yrs ...
These children represent different socio economic backrounds and there is an assunption each childs social class predermines their future???
Well i think those children from affluent backrounds might do somewhat better as they are more privaledged and have more connections but then i also think people make choices....

Have you ever noticed a child that was adopted from birth how like the adoptive parents they are in their mannerism, traits and so on ......... sometimes more so than the natural children born of the same parents..............
i think its a mixture of both
And child order can come into play aswell....the middle child symdrome.
