But have a suggestion ... Why you dont take yourself over there for one of their incredibly fantastic get-togethers..? There are threads about here about them (the get-togethers) and also in the archives under "Get-togethers" with lots of photos of the beautiful Maltese women.

I have to agree on this one....I know many Maltese people who left Malta to study or to try and make something out of their lives (myself included) but many of these don't stay there permanently as Malta, with all its ups and downs, is our little paradise island. It could also be because we're highly attached to our families. Who knows...
Still, you sound like a really nice guy :) I agree with all the others who've suggested you come over to Malta for a holiday, especially since you like travelling :) Good luck!!
hey I won't be leaving the beautiful weather of Malta! If it were for me i will leave only when the weather is bad... but it will be only for 2 days or so coz the sun will come out again. This year we didn't have winter. I only rained for about 10 days throughout this winter!! good luck!

Ja, and the guy doesnt seem to have stuck around to carry on his cajoling?Really, though, I just could not imagine anyone of sane mind wanting to leave Malta and go live in the UK ...... fog, snow, grey skies, traffic, crime rates, etc etc ....... when you got sunny skies, surrounded by blue ocean, beautiful beaches, and lots of friendly people....?

Why a Maltese woman?
I thought that marrying a Maltese could be fun - as divorce is illegal.............. but then, what if I really wanted to get divorced?
well my family background is maltese. (my grandfather stayed in england after the war - he was in the merchant navy) and I've always been into the history for the island.
I did go to Malta in 2004 when I was married at the time. (note, travelled alone because the wife flat out refused to go.) I've got family in Mosta and Mgqabba so I've got a base to work from so to speak next time I come over.
Last time I was in Sliema right on the entrance to grand harbour. blooming marvellous.
