My best friend pushed me to my limits;
he made me cry,he pissed me off;he showed

For me it means having someone who accepts me for all my faults and flaws.Someone who's able to forgive me for my shortcommings and to realize that I'm only human and not perfect.

My friends here have recently made me realise that it is ok to accept help and support and even to ask for help and support..
They have made me see that by doing that it doesn't make me less of a person or weak

Exactly, that's what I think and feel about friendship. Especially the two way street part, many like to receive help, but when your in need, they are no where to be found!!
I have also found that very few people really understand what true friendship really means!!

Btw, dead on...especially the part about it being a two-way street. You have to give the same when it's needed in return, or it's not real friendship.

For a while my life was my worst nightmare, I was really frightened and was thrown a life line to start again, not financially but someone believed in me helped me on my feet again, regain some confidence and feel strong enought to start again.I have also found that very few people really understand what true friendship really means!!

When my Grandaughter was stillborn, I went to pieces trying to be strong for my Son, but inside my heart was breaking and the hardest thing for me was I could not take his suffering away.
Some people on this site were truly amazing, letting me talk things thro by mail, just being there for me.
