I keep seeing an awful lot of complaints from men that women don't reply to them when they make contact. Is the same true for women making contact? Do a lot of women find themselves being snubbed by a lot of the men they contact? If most women find they will recieve at least a I'm not interested note (at least some of the times) and guys don't even get that, then what could be the reason?

we have an expression ,in my country, has to do with her nose and the clouds .....

To be really honest, I don't even notice that anymore. Whenever I feel inspired (and that is quite often), I do a search, look through tons of profiles and send out quite a few flowers. Then I forget about it all and get back to my work (or fun!). If anyone replies, great, if they don't, I've probably already forgotten them anyway.
I used to take it to the heart when someone I was interested in (by reading their profile) wouldn't reply, but now I've really installed a revolving door here. Whatever their reasons for not responding, I don't care - I am only focusing on the ones that do respond and wish to talk. :)

Nah, I don't mind if someone doesn't reply to a mail from me...the world today is so hectic and busy, and 10% of women on here get 90% of the mail, so it becomes a hassle and a chore. I totally understand, but at the same time am very impressed by women who take the time out to reply...it's just human courtesy. I reply to every mail I get.

You know what's interesting, I'm going to assume that there are lots of decent fellows on CS genuinely looking for someone and who write a decent first contact letter for those types of men I have no problem replying even if its to say not interested - but I meet mostly scammers and I'm even gracious enough to respond to the scammer types although those responces are never very nice and they probably wished I didn't.

I don't know about other guy's that "don't answer" mail that women send them...but either I always send a reply back(even to scams)or I send a pre-edited "form letter"!!

feathersteve: hi darksea54 , my mother always said manners cost nothing
Even my good training in manners is bound to run out sometime - especially if said writer can't seem to remember if he's the age he states in his profile or the one he puts in his first contact mail or just can't decide which country he's from. At that stage you're just begging to be ignored.

I must agree, some contact emails are so ridiculous that they do not merit a response..as it's very obvious...it was never written with either sincerity or seriousness in mind!!!
rubendario: In the beginning, when I first joined this site, I was not sure..and I did not respond to a few...now I respond to them all...even scammers.
Anyone who takes the time to write to me get's a response, it's the right thing to do. Treat others in the same way you would like to be treated.
Hiya Ruben! Long time no see How's that monkey treatin you?
I totally agree...treat all with the same respect. And if they are NOT nice...i at least give them my opinion in the nicest way possible.

Another thing I've noticed is that a HUGE percentage of these contacts are from so called 'widows with children',no doubt some here are widowed but after reading the rest of the mail including the part asking for your private e-mail or wanting to give your theirs, you realise its just a popular ploy to pull at the heart strings. So if there are so many sincere people on here looking and contacting how come they meet up with so many scammers and not with the many other sincere types.
